About Keiken

Officially, Keiken Illustrations began in 1997. It is owned and operated by, pretty much, just one person. Me. K. Rearick. I started the business after I had been commissioned to do a variety of art projects, including murals and book illustrations. Before I started college, I had already won first place in a national and first place in an international art contest at the age of 17 (my, my, where has all of the time gone?). Since starting my own business, I have completed even more murals, done some graphic designs for businesses, had an art show or two, and even painted on cars. I used to teach art, but since moving to the South, things have slowed down and the teaching has been put on hiatus. This website is the latest incarnation of the business. The site began operating in fall of 2002. If you are interested in hiring me for a project, you can find out how much it costs to commission me.

Currently, Keiken Illustrations is operating out of a small town named Sparta in Tennessee, between Nashville and Knoxville, U.S.A.

The images below are of some of the commissioned works, including a couple of tattoos, over the years and a pic of me taking a break as an extra on the movie set of "The Year One."
