Officially, Keiken Illustrations began in 1997. It is owned and operated by, pretty much, just one person. Me. K. Roberts (pictured here ages ago, being slightly grumpy). I started the business after I had been commissioned to do a variety of art projects, including murals and book illustrations. Before I started college, I had already won first place in a national and first place in an international art contest at the age of 17. Since starting my own business, I have completed even more murals, done some graphic designs for businesses, had an art show or two, and even painted on cars. I've also taught art since 2001, most recenty at Solstice Winds in Cookeville, Tennessee. This website is the latest incarnation of the business. The site began operating in fall of 2002. If you are interested in hiring me for a project, you can find out how much it costs to commission me on the FAQ page or send an email.
Time to time, I do have help from friends, especially on large projects.
The images below are some commissioned works, including a tattoo or two I inked on people and logos for businesses. Unfortunately, I didn't think to take pictures of the websites I did before 2014, but some of the ones after that are pictured here. A more complete list is on the web design page.
